Sorry Is Foreign To Me

image

Sorry sorry sorry,
How many times have you heard that word?
Sorry keeps coming out of people’s mouth like unwanted saliva,
Sorry these days seems a bit overrated.
Overused like a cliché
And,
I could go on and on about it.
Sorry is like being annoyed over and over again,
By someone you dislike.
Sorry is like a broken record,
Constantly going.
Sorry is like getting a fresh cut
and your in need of a band aid,
Soothing moment.
Sorry is like getting a shove
And,
you expect an apology.
Sorry is so commonly used,
It’s like prescribed drug
for the flu.
Sorry is used so casually,
The value of it is lost.
Sorry has become a meaningless gesture,
Sorry isn’t genuine anymore.
At least to me it isn’t,
Sorry is just another word,
That is used frequently.
I don’t need your apologies
and
sympathies,
Go on about your business
And
leave me be.
I’ve deleted, excluded
and erased,
This word from my vocabulary.
sorry is an alien,
that means it’s foreign to me!

Alive

image

Watching friends
As they frolic in water
Like a group of swans
In all their grace
Wind caressing my skin
Like the hand of an Angel
Waves rushing at my feet
As they meet the shore
Sigh’s of relief
As I stare at the rainbow in the distance
A promise remembered
No stress, no worries
for i am free
And
I smile as my heart beats within
Oxygen circulates through my lungs
Refreshing scent of the ocean breeze
While the sun penetrates my body
Providing earthly nourishment
No ailments,
No pain for I am alive.

Sun And Moon

image

Largest amongst
The constellation
they’re,
Their switching
of thrones,
Is as graceful
as spring is to summer.
No fuss, no fight,
The Queen knows
it is her right,
To grace the land
at night.
Her King,
He reigns supreme
over the day.
They’ve the weirdest bond,
Yet,
A satisfying union.
Loyal to each other,
No need for questions.
Though awkward
it seems,
their relationship
stays fresh.
They work on the same clock, but rarely on the same shift.
A love like this
is truly exotic.

I’m Waiting For You

image

Have you ever looked,
For something that isn’t lost?
It has no eye’s,
Yet it always sees
Always on the go,
But it has no feet.
It touches heart’s,
Without having hands.
Sounds weird right?
Well I’ve spent my entire life searching for love.
For most people it comes naturally,
For me it doesn’t come at all.
I’ve looked high and low,
I’ve looked near and far.
Still no sign of love.
Love has proven to be formidable,
A worthy foe.
A belligerent adversary,
Like a butterfly love eludes me.
Knees weak from all these tireless journeys,
Endless expeditions with meaningless expectations.
Love is like a fox,
cunning
Yet, shy.
If you see love,
tell her lonely heart
Says hi.

Day Sibley

Funny how we spend our time
getting ready for the cyber world
forgetting about our present reality.
Accustomed to having 100+ friends
on Facebook
half of whom we will never see.
We Tweet every aspect of our lives
but forget the most important thing
that is to live!
Social media is taking its toll
we have lost everything that made us
whole.
Quick to share our views of the world
that is eating us alive before typing
the words out. Viewers, chiming in on
the fun picking and tearing at another’s
intelligence
mistaken for stupidity, stupidity took for intellect.
Our unstimulating minds feeding the lies.

Why Love?

image

Since our last
argument,
You don’t call.
And when I call,
You don’t answer at all.
Your voicemail
seems to be
my new companion,
For she talks
to me the most.
Things aren’t the same
since you left,
Sleepless nights
my whole world is a mess.
It’s your fault,
you should’ve just listen,
I never meant
what I said.
Don’t you see I am dying?
I grow weaker with each passing day,
I am in need of
your strength.
Without you
I can’t breathe
I need you,
don’t go.
Please stay
Please come back.
Why love?
Why did you have to leave?

Epitaph

image

Here
                 lies a poet
unknown,
                     Who walks alone.
On a pale Street,
                             Filled with
Forgotten faces.
                       Dreams shattered,
Fame not attained
                      Trumpet sounds,
While Angel sings.
                               May his soul
rest in peace.

Unread

image

These emotions are overflowing,
unsure if I’m coming or going.
You’re telling me to leave,
but something is telling me to stay.
Why do things confuse me this way?
I am the moon
and you are the stars,
I want to be where you are.
You’re my only friend,
But every great story must come to an end.
This story still seem too short to me.
It’s true every story has to end,
But why does ours have to end?
We started out as complete strangers,
Then we became best of friends.
I wrote word’s and you read them,
What happened?
I thought we were inseparable
I was the gift you were the wrap,
Together we’re gift wrapped.
You had once said “I was the chapters to your book”,
Now the pages are unread.

Stalker

image

He breathes heavily
with cold stark eyes,
As they circle like that of ravens.
Waiting for the perfect opportunity to act,
He waits patiently like Christians awaiting Christ to return.
He see’s you,
but you don’t see him,
What it is that you see?
A day like today would be a perfect day
to take you in his grasp,
He’s enticed by the fresh crisp aroma of your perfume.
The one you’ve been wearing for years,
It appeals to the monster in him.
Tank tops you wear with nipples standing firm
Teases
short shorts you wear,
Hypnotises,
Caught in your trance,
he can’t help but stare.
His thoughts are of you,
And
what he would like to do to you.
Your eye’s they shine like the sun rays,
Your innocent stares makes grown men weak,
He’s fueled by them.
Your beauty makes the plants bow at your presence.
When you walk he follows,
lurking in the shadows
waiting for the moment
your guard goes down.
If you run he will chase you,
pursue you like a predator hunts it’s prey.
When you invite guests over,
It infuriates him.
He craves for you,
like a hungry hound craves for a kill.
He wants you for himself,
and in time he will.
He waits for the right time to act.
While he waits dusk will meet dawn,
And
The sun will trade places with the moon.

Life

image

Life’s trivialities are not constant,
but the beauty of being alive is the essence of living.
Life’s unfortunates are not to make you weak,
they’re to make you stronger. Therefore take them with a smile.
To live is to struggle,
but its the courage to overcome these struggles that makes life worth living.
Life isn’t as hard as you may think, its the decisions that we make which determine the way it is.
So whatever comes your way,
lift your chin up and know you will make it through to another day.
